altSuch was the conclusion made by D. Bolotin the investigator of the investigation department of Golovinsky department of the investigation board at the prosecutor’s office of the city of Moscow, RF, after legal investigation of criminal case No.106911 against Andrey Stolbunov, lawyer, human rights activist and chairman of Board of Directors of IPO «Spravedlivost». This criminal case was just used in a slanderous campaign launched against Andrey Stolbunov, his deputy Dmitry Baranovsky and the whole of human right organization. By the way, the executors of this hit were such masters of this genre as Andrey Karaulov and Mark Deutsch. The latter is incidentally hiding now from Presnensky court where a slander  suit for his publication in Moskovsky Komsomolets is awaiting him.
Initially the criminal case against Andrey Stolbunov looked like misunderstanding. A former business partner, a certain Khozin, suffering, apparently, a great need in money, made up his mind to become richer at the expense of Stolbunov and wrote a petition to a militia office in 2003. It was as if the latter had not returned him debt for a before sold car. The criminal case was stopped immediately after Andrey Stolbunov who was a lawyer at the moment gave evidence for the investigator.

altA scientific conference named  «Human Rights Monitoring within the Russian Federation» was held on September, 22 сентября in the building of Moscow City Hall on New Arbat. The action initiator was the Russian Academy of Legal Sciences supported by the country’s leading human rights and public organizations. Human rights activists from over 15 regions of Russia took part in it. They gathered to discuss the most burning problems of their activists.
On the whole, there are positive changes but with very many undecided problems left – such was the general conclusion made by the event’s participants. By their opinion, authorities and local law-enforcement take human rights activists далеко adequately far from always, consider them oppositionists and, at best, do not render assistance, at worst, they hinder their activities.
- Last summer my colleagues and I took a trip in Russian regions to clear up how matters with local human rights activists stood. And we were very much surprised when we found out that in some regions that, for example, we our delegation was shadowed, Vladislav Grib, member of Social Chamber of the RF noted in his opening address.

altThe famous three stations square which has long won fame of one of the most notorious places of the capital will from now on be less shocking for Muscovites and visitors. No, the beggars, stray dogs and kiosks with poorly smelling meat-pies have not been removed from there, but pavilions trading videos of dubious content were confronted vigorously.
It happened right after Nikoly Agoshko, head of Yaroslavsky board of  internal affairs, militia captain received a letter from IPO «Spravedlivost» which described scrupulously the situation at the patch near Komsomolskaya underground station. It is no secret that recently for quite a long time it was no problem to buy a XXX category cassette or disc there. The sale was open, pavilion windows were decorated with provocative covers before the eyes of astonished passers-by. And it is no less than unlawful distribution of pornographic materials and is subject to Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Militia patrols at the square are not seldom, but before they did not prevent brisk and undisguised trade of «hot» video. It is pleasant that after appeal made by «Spravedlivost» militia command reacted very efficiently: the obscene discs were just like blown away.
